A major asset of IJCLab in accelerator science and technology is the richness of its research and technology platforms largely dedicated to accelerator activities. They are an essential basis for the conduct of accelerator research and development. The capabilities that they provide, coupled with dedicated human resources, make possible both experimental developments on new accelerator concepts and the technological environment necessary to prepare and produce accelerator systems for major international projects.

  • The laboratory’s accelerator technology platforms make it possible to structure, organize and control a range of high-tech equipment at the service of accelerators and beyond. These include the SupraTech platform, which integrates the XFEL coupler clean rooms, and the Panama/vacuum and surface platform, whose equipment will be coordinated and rationalized in new dedicated areas (baths D3 and D4).
  • The LaseriX and Phil research platforms, which provide the full range of technologies (electron source and power laser) for experimental developments in laser/plasma accelerator.
  • The local research platforms based on accelerators (ALTO, ANDROMEDE and JANNuS-SCALP), with a variety of research fields (Health Physics, Energy, Nuclear Physics, Astrophysics…), which constitute a formidable tool for internal training in accelerator technologies and whose teams also provide the basis for the laboratory’s global expertise in accelerator technology.
